The Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) through the ARS Office announces the Academic Calendar for Midyear 2025 detailing essential academic dates, deadlines, and key events scheduled for the upcoming midyear term and providing guidance for all University stakeholders.

Onsite enrolment for undergraduate programs runs from 9 to 13 June, while graduate program admission and enrolment spans 9 to 21 June; undergraduate classes commence 16 June, followed by graduate classes starting 21 June, with the undergraduate withdrawal deadline falling 20 June. Midterm examinations are scheduled 4 July, and both undergraduate final examinations and the end of classes occur 25 July.

The activity is followed by the Recognition program in the morning and the 79th Commencement Exercises and 14th  Conferment Rites in the afternoon.

𝐓𝐀𝐔 𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐇𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐃𝐨𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐒𝐞𝐧. 𝐕𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐮𝐞𝐯𝐚

During the 79th Commencement Exercises for the College of Education (CET), the College of Engineering and Technology (CET), and Certificate Courses from the College of Agriculture and Forestry (CAF), Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) conferred Sen. Joel “TESDAMAN” Villanueva the honorary degree Doctor of Education Honoris Causa at the Gilberto O. Teodoro Multipurpose Center, 5 June.

In accordance with the pertinent provisions of Republic Act (RA) No. 7722, otherwise known as the “Higher Education Act of 1994,” and by virtue of Resolution No. 013-2021 of the Commission en banc dated 19 January 2021, the TAU Board of Regents (BOR) through Referendum No. 12, S. 2025, endorsed Sen. Villanueva to receive the honorary degree for his remarkable contributions to TAU and the education sector.

Committed to providing students with strategic research dialogue platforms on the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU)  – College of Engineering and Technology (CET) held its first edition of the Student Research Colloquium 2025 centered on the theme, “Empowering Sustainable Development through Engineering and Technology Innovation” from 2-3 June.

Dr. Silverio Ramon DC. Salunson, TAU President, officially welcomed all participants at the TAU Student and Alumni Amphitheater Center and expressed his enthusiasm for the event. “We are gathered not only to share research ideas but also to spark dialogue; challenge assumptions, and explore how engineering and technology can address pressing challenges such as climate change and clean energy.” Dr. Salunson stated.

During Tarlac Agricultural University's (TAU) 79th Commencement Exercises for the College of Business and Management (CBM) and College of Arts and Sciences (CAS), Ms. Aileen Uy-Chan, President and CEO of 1st Megasaver, delivers an inspiring address to the members of Batch 2024-2025.

In her message, Ms. Uy-Chan highlights that comfort stifles courage, noting many avoid risks despite hard work. She stresses success requires action over ideas, driven by speed, determination, and commitment. Encouraging seeking right advice to reignite self-belief, she also reminds graduates of the value of starting even if it just takes one single step.

𝐐𝐔𝐎𝐓𝐄𝐃 𝐛𝐲 𝐈𝐧𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐭

During Tarlac Agricultural University's (TAU) 79th Commencement Exercises for the College of Agriculture and Forestry (CAF) and College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM), Dr. Constante J. Palabrica, Undersecretary for Livestock of the Department of Agriculture (DA), addresses Batch 2024-2025.

Dr. Palabrica recounts heartbreaking stories during the height of the African Swine Fever (ASF) epidemic which devastated the swine industry. He has seen its rise and fall, including the destruction of lives and livelihoods. Despite the crises the industry is facing like rising feed cost and animal diseases, he notes that the livestock sector witnesses the resilience of those who continue to endure, urging the graduates to prepare themselves for a different world outside the University.

CAPTURED IN LENS | Honoring the graduate and undergraduate  awardees for AY 2024-2025, the Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) academic community holds a recognition program at the Gilberto O. Teodoro Multi-Purpose Center,  5 June.

Dr. Arthur D. Dayrit, Regional Technical Director for Operations of the Department of Agriculture Regional Field Office 3 (DARFO 3), serves as the guest speaker and joins TAU President Dr. Silverio Ramon DC. Salunson and other University officials in recognizing the honor graduates, proficiency awardees, and loyalty awardees.

𝐂𝐀𝐏𝐓𝐔𝐑𝐄𝐃 𝐈𝐍 𝐋𝐄𝐍𝐒 | Honoring the tradition marking the transition of Doctors of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) students from dedicated learners to pre-professionals, the Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM) holds it Fifth Hooding Ceremony anchored with the theme “Guardians of Animal Health: With Wisdom and Compassion, We Serve” at the AgriTourism Hostel Function Hall, 4 June.

The University President Dr. Silverio Ramon DC. Salunson, along with the four Vice Presidents and the Dean of CVM, graces the ceremony with their uplifting messages. The officials highlight the challenges and triumphs of TAU’s veterinary education program and commend the students for their dedication in pursuing their dream of becoming full-fledged veterinarians.
