The whole TAU community stands united in congratulating Dr. Shirley C. Agrupis, newly appointed Chairperson of the Commission on Higher Education (CHEd)!

Dr. Agrupis or SCA is currently serving as CHEd Commissioner and was a former President of the Mariano Marcos State University (MMSU) and the Association of State Colleges and Universities - Solid North (ASCU-SN).

A known advocate of internationalization of higher education and research for societal progress, Dr. Agrupis will certainly propel the transformation of higher education institutions in the country into agents of nation-building and scientific and technological development.

𝐂𝐀𝐏𝐓𝐔𝐑𝐄𝐃 𝐈𝐍 𝐋𝐄𝐍𝐒 | Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) proudly presents two innovative agri-based products during the Regional Agri-Agua Technology Pitch Day held at Pampanga State Agricultural University (PSAU) on 27 May. Both competing under the food category, Prof. Judith F. Espiritu of the College of Education (CEd) features her nutritious Sweetpotato Polvoron, while Ms. Myrla Ramos of the College of Agriculture and Forestry (CAF) introduces a Cowpea Chocolate-Flavored Drink.

Faculty presenters are coached and supported by TAU’s Department of Research and Development (DRD), Department of Development Communication, and Information Unit through mentorship and resource provision. Gathering researchers and innovators across Central Luzon, the pitching activity aims to promote sustainable, market-ready technologies that address critical challenges such food insecurity, climate change, and limited economic development.

In recognition of the pivotal role of students in shaping a sustainable future, the Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) Department of Research and Development (DRD) organized the 2nd Student Research Congress at the Student and Alumni Center Amphitheater on 26 May. 

Under the theme "Agri-Innovate: Student-Led Solutions for a Green and Sustainable Future," the event gathered young researchers from TAU’s six colleges. Student presenters showcased their papers and posters, tackling critical issues and proposing innovative solutions across diverse academic disciplines.

Demonstrating excellence in the Research and Development Category, students from the Bachelor of Science in Agriculture program of the College of Agriculture and Forestry (CAF) claimed the Best Research Paper Award. The winning study on Insecticidal Effects of Acacia (Albizia saman) Leaf Extract and Liquid Anionic Surfactant was conducted by Ivan Daniel D. Cajuigan, Jerico P. Sumalague, Roberto C. Pioquinto Jr., and Jenica Loraine T. Tanjuenco.

𝐂𝐀𝐏𝐓𝐔𝐑𝐄𝐃 𝐈𝐍 𝐋𝐄𝐍𝐒 | To foster patriotism and solidarity, the Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) convenes its officials, faculty, and non-teaching staff in front of Learning Resource Center (LRC) Building for the flag-hoisting ceremony led by the Administrative Council (AdCo) Members headed by the University President, Dr. Silverio Ramon DC. Salunson, and accompanied by the four vice presidents.

After the ceremony, the Human Resource and Management Unit (HRMU) acknowledges the birthday celebrators for the month of June and gathers them for a short prayer.

The United Faculty Association’s (UFA) President, Dr. Joseph Paul T. Abad, then proudly commends the winners of the State Colleges and Universities Faculty Association Region III (SCUFAR III) Sports and Cultural Festival held at Aurora State College of Technology (ASCOT).
